Sounion, Greece One of my favorite memories from the semester I spent in Greece—Sounion is situated on the southern tip of the Attica peninsula.  On the top of the cliffs that jut out into the Aegean is the Temple of Poseidon.  This is the view from the top of the cliffs… no wonder the ancients made this a sacred site, huh?
